Ano Stavros

Build on the down hills of mountain Cholomontas, named Sougliani, just 800m away from the sea, the village of Ano Stavros is known for its great climate and the panoramic view that offers for many centuries to its residents and visitors.

This nice route starts from Ano Stavros and ascends southwest to the top of Sougliani, on Mount Stratoniko. It is not a difficult course which runs on forest roads and on a paths in the shade of tall bushes and forest.

The route is not long but rather interesting. The waymarking is very good and dense with red-yellow color.

Asprovalta

Asprovalta is now a major tourist resort on the Strymonikos Gulf, hosting thousands of visitors during the summer season.

Located right in the boundaries of three prefectures of Halkidiki, Thessaloniki and Kavala, harmoniously combining green mountains and blue sea.

The area offers alternative type of tourism, sites of intense archaeological, cultural, environmental and religious interest. There are many interesting excursions and short trips to the near by areas. The city of Thessaloniki, the beautiful beaches of Halkidiki, the archaeological site of Amfipolis the picturesque town of Kavala, tour by boat to Mount Athos etc.

The 11 km sandy beach of Asprovalta has been awarded with Blue Flag.

Stavros

Stavros is surrounded by hills and abundant forests.

It’s located at the base of the mountain and is due to the rose of the wind known as an air spa that provides a pleasant stay with a combination of sea vapour and clean air.

There are plenty of parks, restaurants, dense greenery, playgrounds, shops, restaurants and coffee bars, there’s also an amusement park and many different sports fields.

The beach in Stavros is part of the Strymonikos gulf with a 10km long beach awarded with Blue flag.

Nea Vrasna

Vrasna is a seaside village, located between Stavros and Asprovalta. 

The village consists of “Paralia”, “Nea Vrasna” and the old village of “Vrasna”. 

Paralia and Nea Vrasna are located by the seaside of Strymonikos Gulf. The beach is sandy, long and also awarded with EU’s Blue Flag. There is a seaside pedestrian street across the whole village for long walks and shopping. You can find many family accommodations for a quiet and relaxing holiday and many unique shops that will surely provide everything you may need. 

Vrasna is a traditional village in the mountain side of Strymonikos Bay. It’s one of the most beautiful villages in the area. It is built with amazing view, at the foot of the forest of Kerdyllia with traditional architecture.
